PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Linux program start-up system for reliably determining a userland corresponding to kernel, in an embedded equipment having a redundancy configuration. SOLUTION: The Linux program start-up system executes a process for writing information for identifying a bank corresponding to the selected startup kernel into an unused region in a main memory 25 when selecting either of the kernels A and B stored in banks A and B as the startup kernel (step S302), and a process for determining a file system to be linked to the startup kernel from among file systems A and B by reading the identification information written in the unused region in the main memory 25 (steps S305, S306, S308).
