PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To significantly reduce power consumption without impairing a function of monitoring the presence or absence of a moving operation, and elongating a battery life in the case of low-voltage drive using a battery as a power source. SOLUTION: This wireless type information input device is provided with a control means (microcomputer) 11 for alternately and intermittently operating either of optical X-axis and Y-axis rotary encoders 4, 5, and a third rotary encoder 6 for an optional operation, when the moving operation and the optional operation of a mouse body 2 are stopped over a set time or longer, monitoring the presence or absence of the movement and the optional operation in an operation stop state, and controlling power supply to each section from the power source 8 to immediately return the X-axis, Y-axis and third rotary encoders 4, 5, 6 to ordinary operating states when the moving operation or the optional operation to the mouse body 2 is found in the monitoring state.
