PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen producing technique efficiently purifying hydrogen from a hydrogen-mixed gas containing a hydrocarbon gas and an inorganic gas. SOLUTION: The hydrogen producing apparatus 10 includes: first on-off valves 22 (22A, 22B, 22C) for making the hydrogen mixed gas flow from a hydrogen producing part 11; first adsorption columns 21 (21A, 21B, 21C) connected to a first flow path 17 in parallel to adsorb the hydrocarbon gas component contained in the hydrogen mixed gas; second on-off valves 32 (32A, 32B, 32C) for making the hydrogen mixed gas flow; second adsorption columns 31 (31A, 31B, 31C) connected to a second flow path 18 in parallel to adsorb the inorganic gas component contained in the hydrogen mixed gas; and heating medium on-off valves 23A, 23B, 23C, 33A, 33B, 33C for passing a heating medium through the first adsorption columns 21 or the second adsorption columns 31 in which the flow of the hydrogen mixed gas is stopped by the fact that the first on-off valves 22 or the second on-off valves 32 changes the flow direction.
