<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make uniform temperature distribution on an inside surface of a separator with a simple structure, and to improve power generation performance and durability. <P>SOLUTION: A power generation cell 12 structuring a fuel battery stack 10 includes a first separator 14, an electrolyte membrane-electrode structure 16 and a second separator 18. On a first side in a short-side direction of the power generation cell 12, a cooling medium supply communication hole 34a and a cooling medium evacuation communication hole 36b are fitted in an up-and-down direction. On a second side in a short-side direction of the power generation cell 12, a cooling medium evacuation communication hole 34b and a cooling medium supply communication hole 36a are fitted in an up-and-down direction.
