PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability by dynamically determining a delay time according to the change of situations in preventing the erroneous transmission of electronic mail by transmitting electronic mail after the lapse of a delay time. SOLUTION: An erroneous transmission prevention device 200 for preventing the erroneous transmission of electronic mail by transmitting the mail received from a terminal 100 after the lapse of a transmission delay time includes: a mail information storage part 209 for storing mail information including the address information, title and mail text of the mail received from the terminal; a significance/risk degree calculation part 205 for calculating the significance of the mail based on the title and mail text of the mail, and for calculating the degree of a risk of erroneous transmission based on the address information of the mail and the past address information in the mail information; and a transmission delay time calculation part 206 for calculating a transmission delay time based on the calculated significance and the calculated degree of the risk.
