摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform stable image display by visually reducing abnormal luminance caused by fluctuation between two sampling and holding means within an identical pixel, and making an alternating current driving frequency higher. SOLUTION: A source driver 103 repeats output of an image signal with positive polarity to a column signal line D1, and output of an image signal with negative polarity to a column signal line D2 during a certain frame period, and output of an image signal with negative polarity to the column signal line D1, and output of an image signal with positive polarity to the column signal line D2 during the next one frame period, for every frame. Each of a plurality of pixels 102 is equipped with two signal holding capacitors and a liquid crystal element and holds image signals from the two column signal wires D1 and D2 in the two signal holding capacitors separately. Holding voltages of the two signal holding capacitors are alternately applied to the pixel electrode of the liquid crystal element in the pixel 102 with pixel driving selection signals S1, S2 output from an XOR circuit 106 with an order of several kHz.
