The invention relates to an edging device and a roll-folding head (1) for connecting the edges of sheet metals to form a component. An edge of the metal sheet, that is to be folded, is applied to the folding jaws of a folding bed, and on the opposite side, the edge is bent by means of a rotatably mounted folding roll (4) arranged on a roll-folding head (1) in such a way that it can pivot transversely to the direction of movement of the folding roll (4), said roll-folding head being mobile along the folding connection, preferably by means of a robot arm. According to the invention, the pivoting movement of the folding roll (4) in relation to the roll-folding head (1) is controlled by a rotary drive arranged on the roll-folding head (1). |
