<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device which fixes an awning cloth to a winding roller provided with a well rail and can improve the awning cloth and the whole awning particularly in terms of the stability of connection between the cloth and the roller. <P>SOLUTION: An apparatus (7) for fixing an awning cloth (2) in a winding roller (3) provided with a well rail (4) comprises two claw-like elements (9, 10). The claw-like elements (9, 10) can be mutually swung and can be moved to a position beyond a dead point.
