PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform braking force retention control with a sufficient braking force without causing increase in frequencies for pressurizing working fluid. SOLUTION: A braking force control device of a vehicle performs the braking force retention control for suppressing decrease in pressure inside a wheel cylinder by limiting the working fluid from circulating from wheel cylinders (26FR-26RL) to a master cylinder (14) with communication control valves (22A, 22B). In this case, when it is determined that a driver performs the braking operation so as to stop the vehicle (S10), the braking force retention control is started so as to keep the braking pressure of wheels (S40) if it is before the vehicle stops, and the braking force by the braking operation of the driver is not less than the braking force required for keeping the vehicle in a stopped state (S20, S30).
