<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device reducing light quantity loss while preventing breakage in a fixed type half mirror. <P>SOLUTION: The image pickup device 1 includes a fixed type half mirror 130 separating object light passing through an interchangeable lens 2 into transmitted light La and reflected light Lb, and an image pickup element 101 generating an image of an object by receiving the transmitted light La. The half mirror 130 includes an optically transmissive film having optically isotropic properties.
