PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that conventional containers for a wet tissue roll have trouble in inserting the end of a wet tissue of a wet tissue roll into a wet tissue drawing hole formed in a lid. SOLUTION: In the container for a wet tissue roll, the lower surface of the lid body 2 is removably provided with a wet tissue taking out member 4 which is made of an elastic member, has an area large enough to close a wet tissue insertion hole 24 formed in a lid body 2 and has a small hole 41 for cutting a wet tissue S at a perforation line near the center of the elastic member. The member 4 is formed with one separation part 42 reaching the hole 41 from its outside end face for opening/closing elastically the part 42 in a condition where the member 4 is removed from the lid body and the tip end Sa of a wet tissue goes into the hole 41 from the opened separation part 42.
