PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for controlling an alarm operation in a video display system are provided to prevent a user from not recognizing an alarm. CONSTITUTION: A user command input unit(311) receives input of a user command. A memory unit(313) stores information for an alarm function. The alarm function is set based on the user command. A control unit(317) realizes the alarm function through an output unit(315) based on the stored alarm setting information. The control unit executes an alarm function a fixed number of times. The control unit transmits the set alarm function to a server. |
