NEGATIVE ELECTRODE FOR SECONDARY BATTERY, COPPER FOIL FOR ELECTRODE, SECONDARY BATTERY, AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THE NEGATIVE ELECTRODE FOR SECONDARY BATTERY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery mounted on an electronic apparatus, an industrial apparatus or a vehicle, which can be charged and discharged, and a negative electrode suitable for it, and copper foil for a negative electrode collector.

SOLUTION: In the negative electrode for the secondary battery using a nonaqueous solvent electrolyte, a silicon-based active material film is formed on one or both surfaces of a current collector base material with the usage of the copper foil. The silicon-based active material film of 1-14 g/m2is formed on the current collector base material, and the inverse number of an electric double layer capacity of a surface of the negative electrode having the silicon-based active material film is 0.1-3 cm2/μF. The secondary battery using the nonaqueous solvent electrolyte is characterized in that this negative electrode is used.
