<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transceiver having more excellent EMI (Electro Magnetic Interference) shield performance. <P>SOLUTION: The optical transceiver includes an electric conductive receptacle component, a metal plate-made ground member and a metal plate-made cover. The ground member is provided to cover the peripheral faces of the receptacle component. The cover is engaged with the receptacle component. The cover has a cylindrical body part extending in axial direction and a first tab. The first tab is supported on the front edge of the body part and extends in the direction intersecting with the axial direction of the body part. The ground member includes a plurality of fingers and a second tab. The plurality of fingers have proximal ends and distal ends and extend in the axial direction. The second tab extends in the direction intersecting with the axial direction and is formed so as to be connected to the distal ends of the plurality of tabs.
