PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a subject as a moving character by a simple operation. SOLUTION: A static image (F1) continuously photographed or animation-photographed is stored gradually as a background image during a time when the presence of a moving part is not detected in an image continuously photographed or animation-photographed in a low-speed continuously photographed mode as shown in (A1). However, the low-speed continuously photographed mode is moved automatically to a high-speed one or an animation mode when the presence of the moving part is detected as shown in (A2), and a series of subject-containing animation image continuous photographed or animation-photographed in the high-speed one or the animation mode is stored gradually. A subject image consisting of only the subject is cut out from a series of the subject-containing animation image and the background image as shown in (B), and the cut-out subject images P1 and P2 are prepared respectively as man characters C1 and C2 as shown in (C). A distance L1 between the man characters C1 and C2 is changed into an optional one L2 as shown in (D).
