<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support fixture for a handrail, which can reduce the number of components and can be easily assembled, can be easily installed, does not make installation work difficult even when the installation surface of the handrail is a horizontal surface or an inclined surface, and does not deteriorate the appearance when installed. <P>SOLUTION: The support fixture for the handrail consists of a first base member 1 and a second base member 2. The first base member 1 is provided with a play hole 3 through which a fixing bolt B projected from the installation surface P of the handrail in the vertical direction can be inserted, and the second base member 2 is provided with a stop hole 4 through which the fixing bolt B can be inserted. The concave curved surface 2a formed in the lower part of the second base member 2 is brought into surface contact with the convex curved surface 1a formed at the top of the first base member 1.
