SYSTEM FOR MONITORING A PLURALITY OF CONTAINERS

A system for monitoring a plurality of containers which comprise at least one RFID tag each, is presented. The system uses a combination of Near Field and Far Field antennas for monitoring a plurality of RFID tags related to a plurality of containers, with the objective of counting the containers and retrieving information comprised in the RFID tags in an optimum way. The RFID tags may be used in the UHF range of frequencies and, furthermore, the system may perform the monitoring with no need of movable pieces, simplifying the construction of the overall system.
