<p>A high-performance mirror which can be varied between a flat mirror and a concave mirror. The mirror includes a base (1) and a mirror holder (2). The mirror holder (2) holds a mirror surface sheet (12) and a rear surface sheet (13), which each have a variable curvature, in such a manner that the sheets (12, 13) are spaced from each other with the space between the sheets (12, 13) held airtight. The rear surface sheet (13) is deformed at the center thereof to reduce the pressure in the space, and as a result, the surface of the mirror sheet is deformed into a concave surface by the difference between the atmospheric pressure and the reduced pressure in the space to thereby vary the curvature of the mirror sheet.</p> |
