The element (16) has a passage opening, via which the covering element is connected with a rim (14) or a vehicle sided component, where the covering element is made of scratch and heat resistant transparent plastic and colored polycarbonate and reduces impact of an outer side (18) of the rim with abrasive wear of a brake device. A recess is provided in an edge area. A clip connector and/or a plug connector are utilized for connecting the element with the rim and/or with a vehicle sided component. The covering element is provided with transparent or colored lacquer.
