XANTHAN BIOSYNTHESIS IN XANTHOMONAS ORYZAE PV. ORYZAE

摘要

PURPOSE: A method for preparing xanthan using Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae is provided to control enzyme activity and to enhance production efficiency of xanthan. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing xanthan by culturing Xanthomonas oryzae enhances intracellular glucose-6-phosphate concentration by controlling enzyme activity relating carbon metabolism in an intracellular xanthan biosynthesis pathway. The control of activating enzyme is performed by inactivating phosphoglucoisomerase gene(Xanthomonas oryzae SJ1211; pgi). The activation of enzyme is controlled by inactivating 6-phosphogluconate dehydration enzyme gene(Xanthomonas oryzae SJ1177; edd).
