PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner for selecting an installation form by one kind of device. SOLUTION: In this air conditioner 1, a front panel 4 is installed on a front face of a body case 3 having an air-conditioning unit 2 for blowing off hot air and blowing air. The body case 3 has a flange part 9 on the front face, and a decorative panel 5 for covering a side surface of the body case 3 is detachably installed in the flange part 9. The flange part 9 functions as a body installing part in the installation form for embedding the air conditioner 1 in an opening part of a wall surface. Thus, in the existence of installing the decorative panel 5, one kind of air conditioner 1 can be used for both the installation form of being embedded in the wall surface and the installation form of being hooked on the wall surface.
