Provided is a scroll compressor which can reliably prevent such a situation that a product which is degraded due to wrong assembly of a chip seal is shipped. Specifically provided is a scroll compressor having chip seals (17A, 17B, 18A, 18B) of different lengths which are built in the top lands of the fixed spiral wrap of a fixed scroll and the turning spiral wrap of a turning scroll, wherein the thicknesses (T2, T3) of the shorter chip seals (17A, 18B) among the chip seals (17A, 17B, 18A, 18B) are set greater than the thicknesses (T1, T4) of the longer chip seals (17B, 18A), and the depths (D1 through D4) of the seal grooves (14F, 14G, 15F, 15G) in which the chip seals (17A, 17B, 18A, 18B) are built respectively are differentiated in correspondence with the thickness (T1 through T4) of the chip seals.
