<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress reverse flow in a fluid which inevitably generates the reverse flow in addition to a forward flow. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid drive system has a flow passage to transfer the fluid, a conductive member mounted inside the flow passage, and an electrode to give an electric field to the conductive member; and gives driving force to the fluid to transfer it by means of electro-osmotic flow generated by the electric field around the conductive member. A suppressing member for suppressing the reverse flow, out of the fluid flow in a forward direction inside the flow passage and that in the reverse direction, which are generated with the conductive member as a reference is provided close to the conductive member in the liquid drive system. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
