<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pre-transfer charging device capable of uniformly charging a toner image on an intermediate transfer member before transferring it to material to be transferred in an ozone-less state and stably transferring it to the material to be transferred. <P>SOLUTION: The pre-transfer charging device 3 includes: an electron emitter 30 having an electron acceleration layer 303 held between an electrode substrate 301 and a thin film electrode 302; a first power supply V1 applying voltage between the electrode substrate 301 and the thin film electrode 302 so as to accelerate electron in the electron acceleration layer 303 and emit it from the thin film electrode 302; and a second power supply V2 applying voltage between the thin film electrode 302 and an intermediate transfer belt 21. The thin film electrode 302 is arranged to be opposed to the intermediate transfer belt 21, and the electron acceleration layer 303 includes a particulate layer containing insulation particulates. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
