PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head set which allows a user to selectively use the specifications of a single ear and both ears according to use environment or applications while attaining clear telephone call under noise. SOLUTION: The head set 1 includes: a head set body 2 having an earphone 15 which reproduces received voice and a microphone 16 which picks up voice uttered from the mouth; an ear-phone type microphone 3 which is worn in the ear opposite to the ear in which the earphone is worn to pick up voice generated in the ear; and a connector 4 which separably connects the earphone type microphone 3 with the head set body 2, the head set is used in a both ear specification for connecting the earphone type microphone 3 to the head set body 2, and using the earphone 15 of the head set body 2 and the earphone type microphone 3 under the noise, and the head set is used in a single ear specification for separating the earphone type microphone 3 from the head set body 2 to use the earphone 15 of the head set body 2 and the microphone 16 during driving of an automobile or under silence.
