<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paint for forming a porous film, with which the porous film achieving both of high capture efficiency and low pressure loss can be formed. <P>SOLUTION: The paint for forming the porous film 13 having an average pore diameter smaller than that of a filter base body 11 on the filter base body 11 contains fine particles containing at least noble metals and oxides and a dispersion medium. The noble metals comprise at least one or two or more noble metals selected from the group consisting of Pt, Pd and Rh, and the oxide fine particles include oxide fine particles including elements selected from the group consisting of Al, Zr, Ti, Ce, La, Fe, Si, Zn, Mg, Mn and Co or composite oxide fine particles. The fine particles containing at least the noble metals and the oxides have 1 to 125 m<SP>2</SP>/g specific surface area, 0.1 to 2.0 g/cm<SP>3</SP>tap bulk density and 0.1 to 10 μm average secondary particle diameter in the dispersion medium and the paint has 2 to 1,000 mPa s viscosity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
