A bidirectional authentication method based on shared key is provided, the method includes authentication activation (1), authentication request (2), authentication response (3), authentication acknowledgement (4), and also includes that the reader (5) obtains RN3 by inversing the N3 from the beginning to the end after the authentication acknowledgement (4), then calculates the identification (ID) of the electronic tag (6), wherein the formula is ID=RN3?CID. During the authentication, the calculation of the electronic tag (6) and the reader (5) is simple exclusive-or bit operation, so the calculation capability of the method is high and the method can adapt to the application of the low capability device, the calculation capacity of the method is little and the method can adapt to the narrow-band width.
