PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centrifugal compressor suitably sealing a variable diffuser and avoiding an increase in the operation resistance of the variable diffuser accompanied by sealing. SOLUTION: A wall 28 for restricting the movement of the variable diffuser 11 to a storing position side, and a base plate 23 for restricting the movement of the variable diffuser 11 to a protruding position side are provided in a storing chamber 12. Further, ring seals 31 and 32 are provided for sealing between the variable diffuser 11 and the wall 28 when the movement of the variable diffuser 11 is restricted by the wall 28, and a ring seal 33 is provided for sealing between the variable diffuser 11 and the base plate 23 when the movement of the variable diffuser 11 is restricted by the base plate 23.
