<p>The method involves measuring tire aligning torques of wheels, and determining side forces (Fy) and/or lateral acceleration at the wheels. The aligning torques and side forces and/or lateral acceleration are provided as input parameters of a computational model stored in a vehicle, where the model provides a road surface friction coefficient as output parameters. Tire lateral force, tire vertical force and/or tire longitudinal force are determined based on the computational model.</p> |
