Provided are a method for reducing nitrogen oxide in the exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine; and a membrane module, and a device for reducing nitrogen oxide in an internal combustion engine using the membrane module, and an internal combustion engine device. The method for reducing nitrogen oxide in the exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine is comprised of a process of bringing compressed air into contact with one surface of a water vapor permeable membrane (11) and causing water to pass along the other surface of the water vapor permeable membrane (11), to humidify the compressed air; and a process of introducing the humidified air to the internal combustion engine.
