<p>The method involves inserting raw material in feed direction till a predetermined clamping position. The material is cut in an area between clamping devices (2, 3) by a computer-controlled tool holder having a machine spindle with a cutting tool. A hole or recess is produced in a workpiece by a centering drill, and the rotation of the holder is stopped. The drill is lowered into the hole or recess, and the clamping devices are removed. The holder is moved in the feed direction, and a rear stack part is moved into one of the clamping devices until reaching the clamping position. An independent claim is also included for a device for executing a method for manufacturing a workpiece.</p> |
