PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide a mixture cooling rotary piston engine for further reducing exhaust gas. SOLUTION: This rotary piston engine, particularly, a trochoidal rotary engine 1 includes a side part disc 4 on the exhaust side, and also includes a rotary piston 6, and includes at least one, desirably, three ventilation openings 60, and can make a mixture flow in the axial direction by passing through its openings. The side part disc 4 on the exhaust side has a side part exhaust port 43, and when the rotary piston passes through on the side part exhaust port 43, at least one ventilation opening 60 has the asymmetric inside contour on at least its exhaust side so that the side part exhaust port 43 does not fluidly communicate with an inside area of the ventilation opening 60.
