PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waterproof housing system and a waterproof housing which are not influenced by droplets, even in the vicinity of the water surface. SOLUTION: The waterproof housing system includes a filter 13 through which subject luminous flux is allowed to pass; a piezoelectric element 14 which vibrates the filter 13 to scatter the droplets; a piezoelectric element drive circuit 315 which is housed in the waterproof housing 10 and vibrates the piezoelectric element 14; and a camera body 200, which can be housed in the waterproof housing 10 and causes the piezoelectric element drive circuit 315 to start driving.
