PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform lead angle control of a motor for driving a zoom lens barrel according to the application thereof, thereby achieving speedup of standby drive, stability of zoom drive and ease of operation. SOLUTION: An image-capturing apparatus includes a zoom lens barrel 32 in which the standby drive from a retracted position to a photographable position for an image capturing apparatus body 31 and the zoom drive from the photographable position are performed; a motor 1 that is a drive source of the standby drive and zoom drive; rotating sensors 6a, 6b for output of a first signal which is varied according to the rotation of the motor; and a drive circuit for generating a second signal having a phase difference with respect to the first signal, and for switching an energization phase to the motor on the basis of the second signal, and also having a changeable phase difference.
