PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smoothing method to correct a polyline and repair the vicinity of the polyline, and a smoothing system. SOLUTION: The smoothing method for smoothing a three-dimensional shape 30 formed of meshes by a computer includes steps of: smoothing the shape of a mesh slip line 31 arranged on the shape 30 determined on the basis of input from a digitizer; performing follow-up processing to the mesh arranged in a peripheral shape follow-up deformation region 37 of the smoothed polyline 35; and correcting the mesh shape.
