PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller with a cage and a bearing using the roller with the cage, capable of preventing abrasion of the cage, and capable of improving adhesion between a surface treatment layer and a base material, by applying surface treatment uninfluenced by an additive included in using oil. SOLUTION: This roller with the cage includes a plurality of rollers 1 and the ring-shaped cage 2 having a pocket 3 for respectively holding the respective rollers 1 in a plurality of places in the circumferential direction. A nickel plating layer 4 being a backing plating layer is applied to the whole surface of the cage 2, and an Ni-PTFE plating layer 5 including nickel and PTFE is applied to a surface of this nickel plating layer 4. This Ni-PTFE plating layer 5 is hardened by heat treatment, and hardness after the heat treatment of this Ni-PTFE plating layer 5 is set to Hv 400-700. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
