PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for solubilizing a plant tissue with cellulase, by which the plant tissue can efficiently be solubilized by enhancing the degradation force of cellulase without increasing the cost of a pretreatment. SOLUTION: The plant tissue is sequentially treated with cellulase, ferulic acid esterase and cinnamic acid esterase in random order. Preferably, 1g of the plant tissue is treated with 0.126 to 126 units of the cellulase, 0.00006 to 0.06 units of the ferulic acid esterase and 0.000075 to 0.075 units of the cinnamic acid esterase.
