<p>This invention concerns a railroad warning system, and in particular a warning system for a grade crossing. The system may comprise a radio transmitter located on a train, to selectively transmit real-time radio warning signals while the train is in the vicinity of a crossing. And, a radio receiver located in a road vehicle, operable to receive radio warning signals, and relay an audible or visual warning related to the current hazard presented by the train, in the event the vehicle is determined to be approaching the crossing.</p> |
