The generator (1) has a cover (30) with a fuel receiving area (40) for receiving flammable fuel in the form of fuel particles (50), and a case consisting of ignition or combustion-retardant material (70). The ignition or combustion-retardant material is mixed with the flammable fuel, when a preset activation temperature lesser than the ignition temperature of fuel is reached. An igniter is made of ignition material for igniting the fuel. The case is arranged in sections between an external wall of the fuel receiving area and the fuel. The case is directly or indirectly attached to the cover.
