METHOD FOR PRODUCING INK FOR COLOR FILTER, INK FOR COLOR FILTER, COLOR FILTER, IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE, AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently produce an ink for a color filter, which is excellent in ejection stability of droplets and dispersion stability of a pigment and from which a color filter excellent in a contrast ratio, lightness and light fastness while suppressing uneven coloring and uneven density in each portion can be manufactured.

SOLUTION: The method for producing an ink for a color filter includes: an atomization step of atomizing a pigment including at least one of C.I.Pigment red 177 and C.I.Pigment red 254 in a colorant mixture containing the pigment and a yellow dye to obtain a colorant containing the atomized pigment; a preliminary dispersion step of agitating a mixture containing a dispersant and a liquid medium to obtain a dispersant dispersion liquid containing the dispersant dispersed in the liquid medium; and a fine dispersion step of mixing the dispersant dispersion liquid with the colorant and finely dispersing the pigment by adding inorganic beads to obtain a pigment dispersion.
