PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for securing an orthopedic brace on a wearer so that the brace can not be displaced. SOLUTION: The device includes a band that extends all around the wearer to be in contact with the entire circumference of the wearer. A strap secured to a brace 92 passes through loops on the band, thereby operably connecting the brace and the band. Another device may further includes a belt 56 that overlaps the band. Suspenders 58 adjustably connect the brace 92 to the band/belt. Due to the band being in contact with the entire circumference of the wearer, the device can secure the brace 92 comfortably to the wearer while effectively preventing displacement of the brace 92 without hindering the intended function of the brace 92.
