PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an interpretation doctor from overlooking diseases which are not the target of an examination when he/she performs interpretation for the purpose of the specific examination.

SOLUTION: A modality 20 determines the kind of automatic measurement processing based on incidental information of medical image data regardless of the purpose of the interpretation by the interpretation doctor, performs the determined kind of automatic measurement processing on the image data, generates numerical report information, and transmits it to a PACS 30. An interpretation terminal 40 receives numerical report information from the PACS 30. When a numerical value of the examination in the received numerical report information is an abnormal value, the interpretation terminal 40 displays a warning of that effect.
