PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To instantaneously secure the storage capacity of contents and to surely record the contents desired by a user. SOLUTION: When a residual storage capacity becomes lower than a prescribed threshold while recording contents in a flash memory 25, a CPU 11 of a camcorder 100 divides the recorded contents into prescribed transfer units (blocks) and successively transfers the respective blocks to a PVR 200. During the transfer, a check sum is added to the respective blocks, and check sum calculation is executed on the side of the PVR 200. When there is no error in transfer by the check sum, the data of the transferred blocks are erased from the flash memory 25 and a free capacity is secured. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
