PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein a layer 2 switch with an authentication function (an authentication switch) does not support a roaming with moving terminals across a plurality of authentication switches in a network using the plurality of authentication switches since user-authenticated authentication information is saved within only the individual authentication switches. SOLUTION: A procedure for passing the authentication information is provided between the authentication switches. The authentication switches distribute their statuses to others mutually, and perform counter authentication switch availability assessment to check if they are roaming objects or not. The authentication switch being the roaming object mutually notify of the authentication information on the user authentication performed by each authentication switch and save the authentication information of each other. When a movement of the terminal occurs, the roaming is assessed based on the authentication information registered with the authentication switches to allow the terminal movement across the authentication switches.
