<p>The invention concerns a decontaminating composition having simultaneously bactericidal, fungicidal and virocidal properties, comprising as active components eugenol, eugenol acetate, vanillin and carvacrol, characterized in that said active constituents are present in the following percentages by weight: at least about 12% eugenol, at least about 3% eugenol acetate, at least about 0.1% vanillin and at least about 0.5% carvacrol. Said decontaminating composition can be used as liquid or solid soaps. It can also impregnate in liquid form fabrics and nonwoven fabrics such as garments for medical use, bed sheets, slip covers, surgery drape, dressings and gauze such as those applied to the skin of serious burn victims.</p> |
