<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability of a liquid crystal display device having a pixel divided structure. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device has a liquid crystal layer, a plurality of electrodes to apply voltage to the liquid crystal layer, and a pixel of which the luminance varies in accordance with a display signal voltage supplied via a transistor, wherein the pixel has a first sub-pixel SP1 becoming a first luminance value toward a certain display signal voltage supplied and a second sub-pixel SP2 becoming a second luminance value lower than the first luminance value. The pulling voltage Vd1 of the first sub-pixel SP1 and the pulling voltage Vd2 of the second sub-pixel SP2 are made nearly equal to each other. For example, areas (S1 and S2) on which a drain of the transistor overlaps with a gate bus line are different in the first and second sub-pixels. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
