The method and system for charging the use of a controlled substructure by vehicles, such a motorway, is based on the wear caused on the substructure (e.g. the surface) under the vehicle, and consists of a sub-system measuring the accelerations and related magnitudes, a sub-system storing and recording data, a sub-system receiving and transmitting data from/to a base station and a display sub-system to be used by a driver or others. The system may be manufactured by the use of an available or new technology on the individual sub-systems, being adapted to the needs of the vehicle manufacture, the component manufacturer for wholesale or retail, or of any other party that has a relevant technical interest (e.g. the substructure controlling authority, the public authorities, etc.).The system computes the charging for a vehicle passing through a controlled substructure based on the wear produced. |
