PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a simple and inexpensive constitution while ensuring the predetermined fixing strength, and to easily and rapidly execute the changing work, the position changing work or the like of a stirring bar, with respect to a friction stir welding tool in which the stirring bar and a shoulder member are constituted separately from each other. SOLUTION: A flat surface 30 vertical to the direction orthogonal to the axis is provided on an outer circumferential surface of a stirring bar 16. A fore end face of a lock screw 18 is abutted on the flat surface 30 in a surface contact manner, the stirring bar 16 is integrally fixed to a shoulder member 12 in a non-rotatable manner. Thus, the predetermined fixing strength can be consistently ensured by a single lock screw 18, the simple and inexpensive constitution is attained, and the changing work, the position changing work or the like of the stirring bar 16 can be easily and rapidly executed.
