<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display with high display quality. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display includes a liquid crystal display panel 10 having a display part 11 consisting of a plurality of display pixels PX disposed in matrix shape, and a lighting means 20 illuminating the display part 11. The lighting means 20 includes a plurality of light source LDs (laser diode), and a light guide body 22 guiding light emitted from a plurality of light source LDs to the display screen 11 side. The light guide body 22 includes an incident face 22C on which light beams emitted from a plurality of light source LDs are incident. A plurality of light source LDs are disposed so that light emission directions DL from the respective light source LDs are tilted to the incident face 22C and the direction D2 substantially orthogonally crossing the incident face 22C, while an incidence width WL of a light beam emitted from each of a plurality of light source LDs when being made incident on the incident face 22C overlaps with an incident width WL of a light beam emitted from the adjacently disposed light source LD mutually. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
