<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interface device that can improve stability of hand gesture input and can be freely worn without giving a user a feeling of restraint, and to provide an interface method. <P>SOLUTION: In order to improve the stability of hand gesture input in image recognition, a ring is worn on the finger which has an element, such as, color information and shape information to improve recognition precision, and the position and attitude of a hand are estimated by the image analysis of the ring acquired by using a camera image of a user view. Use of a ring worn freely as a fashion item enables lighting environment-independent and high-accuracy detection, and recognition is realized without giving the user a sense of restraint. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
